Sherrell L. Law, age 81, of Jennings, FL. passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. following a brief illness. Sherrell was a native and lifelong resident of Hamilton County, FL. He was born March 4, 1936 to the late Stafford and Opal Goolsby Law. Sherrell served his country in the United States Army and returned to Jennings to farm. He was always a hard worker, often working out in the fields share farming with some of the other local farmers. He was never one to get out and about and be in anyone else's business and expected the same respect. The fact that he was not fond of a crowd did not make Sherrell hard hearted, in fact just the opposite. He was a kind-hearted man that loved his family. With age, Sherrell found he could not get out and do so much physical labor. It was then he found his niche working part-time at the local assisted living facilities doing routine maintenance and helping get residents up, shaved and about their daily routine with a great cup of coffee. When he was not working, he could be found at some fishing hole wetting a line as it was his favorite pastime. Sherrell was preceded in death by his parents, Stafford and Opal, a brother, Virgil Law and by his youngest daughter, Amy Law. Survivors include his two daughters, Terri Law Perkins (Tony), Lake Park, GA. and Karen Law Prine (Robert), Jennings, FL.; one brother, Harold Law (Gerri), Jennings, FL.; three sisters, Jean Duecker, Humble, TX., Alice Andrews, Forsyth, GA. and Faye Culpepper, Lake Park, GA.; four grandchildren, Brittany, Jerry, Elizabeth and Cameron.
