Paula Estes Rudser Paula Estes Rudser, of Jasper, FL. passed away peacefully on December 11, 2018 at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, FL.
Paula was born on July 17, 1948 to the late Colonel Chandler B. and Peggy Estes. For countless years Paula selflessly served the children of Hamilton County as a Girl Scout leader and was a lifetime member herself. She was a VBS volunteer and school board employee. She was proud to be a Georgia Bulldog and was an avid reader. Paula moved to Hamilton County in 1978 from Tallahassee, FL. to raise her children. Paula always had a seat at her table for others. Paula was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughter, Chandler "Chanee" Rudser Newsome. She is survived by the love of her life, Donald K. Rudser to whom she was married to 47 years since July 31, 1971. Also surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Donna and Ray Sikes of Savannah, GA. and Peggy Marlatt of St. Simons Island, GA.; one son and daughter-in-law, Karl and Stacey of Titusville, FL.; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Lynne Estes of Columbia, S.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and John Hopkins also of Columbia, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Dreven and Peyton Newsome, MacKenzie Sikes, Channing and Reese Marlatt, Reythe and Connor Rudser. Paula had many special friends but had a true bond of many years with Cathy Jo Foster and Lea Boone. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Jasper United Methodist Church. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to: Girl Scouts of Gateway Council Attn: Fund Development 1000 Shearer Ave. Jacksonville, FL 32205
