Mary Ruth Moody Mary Ruth Wilson Moody, 92, a woman of unwavering faith, unending grace, unconditional love, quick wit and lover of family, friends and all the lives that she ever touched. She died peacefully December 2, 2018 in the company and comfort of family at her home in Jasper. She loved reading her bible, shopping, gardening, quilting, baking, going to church, making jellies & jams (which she shared with everyone) and collecting dolls. Her greatest joy in life was time spent with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was born April 13, 1926 in Carrabelle, Florida the daughter of James Arthur and Willie Mae Garrett Wilson. She was raised in Holt Florida, which remained a very special place in her heart that was filled with many wonderful memories of time spent with her parents, five brothers and one sister. At the age of 16 her family moved to Jasper where she graduated from Jasper High School. She married Elmer S. Moody in 1946 and they had 7 children. Mary shared many memories of her younger years working at the "Ten Cent Store" and the "Telephone Office". She retired from Suwannee Valley Nursing Center at the age of 77 after a long career of lovingly aiding patients and making many lifelong friends along the way. It was a job she loved and never forgot. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer S Moody, her oldest son Shelton Moody, her youngest son William Moody and her first grand-child Timmy Moody. She is survived by five children, Ronnie Moody, Jasper Florida, Mike Moody, Jasper, Florida, Cathy Moody Dobbs (Tommy) East Palatka Florida, Ellie Moody Harper (Dennis) Auburndale, Florida, Dorothy Moody Holton (Grant) Jasper Florida, 18 Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grandchildren, 9 Great-Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and her loving church family. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Jasper Assembly of God Church. Interment will be at Hebron Cemetery.
Harry T. Reid Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Flowers will be received but if you prefer, the family request in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jasper Assembly of God Church in Jasper, FL., Haven Hospice at 6037 West U.S. 90 Lake City, FL. 32055 or to the Alzheimer's Association.
