Harry Eugene Webb, Sr., age 69, of Live Oak, FL. passed away at his home on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017.
Harry was born in Worth County, GA in the little town of Sumner, GA. As a young man, he joined the United States Marines and served his country in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. Upon return from the service he worked at Occidental/PCS as a welder and crane operator. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Webb and Maggie Doris Fletcher, his sister, Mary Carnely, his brother, Toby Webb and his beloved son, Michael Lee Webb.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Sherry Webb; three sons, Virgil Webb, Harry Webb, Jr. and James Ogles, Jr.; one daughter, Lisa Ogles; four brothers, Marvin, Calvin, Paul and Mark Webb; three sisters, Bobbie Kenyon, Kathy Boone and Julia Davis; two grandchildren, Deanna Taylor Webb and Virgil Wayne Webb, II; six great grandchildren, Paige Marie Register, Brenna Nicole Register, Monica Nicole Webb, Brent Anthony Register, Dixie Webb and Spencer Webb.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. with Rev. Roger Hutto officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery with military honors.
